Empirical Sensory Truths in Nature Remedy Lies and Distortions That Erode Our Well Being

Scientific findings suggest that the life of our present Universe began with the formation of heavy hydrogen and helium atoms some 12 billion years ago.  To Michael J. Cohen, Ph.D, the director of Project NatureConnect's Applied Ecopsychology program at Akamai University, this indicates with certainty that the beginning of the life of our Universe included the natural attraction binding force that formed and sustained hydrogen and helium atoms.  Cohen's online sensory ecology courses and degree programs help people benefit by learning how to connect their thoughts and feelings to the well documented healing properties of this binding force as it continues to exist and grow today.

Cohen, author of "Educating Counseling and Healing With Nature," believes that from the beginning of time, natural attraction has held atomic nuclei together.  It has also held atoms, along with everything else in the Universe, together. This natural attachment process has attracted the Universe to grow and become more attractive. Still today, Cohen observes, the life of nature, the solar system and the material world, including ourselves, is holistically bound together and supported in non-polluting, balanced and beautiful ways by the prime natural attraction that participated in the creation of our Universe.

"Our great problem is that we live extremely nature-separated, indoor lives," says Cohen. "Over 99 percent of our thinking and feeling is disconnected from, and out of tune with the self-correcting and restorative ways of the natural attraction energies found in natural areas."  He reports that this profound severance creates powerful lies and distortions in our psyche.  "That explains why just a quiet walk in a natural area calms our psyche and renews our ability to think and feel clearly." he says. "It is because the walk reconnects the disconnected natural attraction senses and sensibilities of our psyche to their nurturing attraction origins in nature and its flow around and through us."

"To our loss," Cohen claims, "We take for granted our mind-purifying experience when we make sensory contact with nature, yet, at no cost it reconnects our natural senses to their natural attraction origins, source and spirit."  This connection is beneficial.  It consciously provides our thinking with a natural attraction truth of the eons  whose powers help us correct the destructive distortions that we learn about nature. These untruths hide from us the daily contributions of nature to our life and all of life."

Cohen says, "If somebody could bottle and sell the healing ways of natural attraction that increase personal, social and environmental well-being, they'd make a fortune. It does become available, however as we learn the sensory science of reconnecting with authentic nature."

The pioneering mission of Project NatureConnect is to help our thoughts and feelings tap into nature's renewing attraction love that flows in, around and through us.  The online program's subsidized, UNESCO approved, training courses and degrees enable us to activate 53 natural senses that we inherit and thereby make conscious contact with the life-nurturing attraction energy of the ages found in natural areas, backyard or backcountry. The process gives us the ability to strengthen and apply this purifying and healing power in ourselves and others through ecopsychology connections in natural areas.  Some participants have called Applied Ecopsychology the "Unified Field Theory in action."

"We cannot win the battle to increase the well-being of the web of life, that includes our life, without strengthening our natural senses, our emotional bonds with nature  - for we will not fight to save what we do not love."
