Cruise Car, Inc, and its Eco-Trans Alliance division, are pleased to announce a recent partnership with Long Drive Solar of Marietta, GA, to provide consulting and solar technology solutions for entities that want to benefit from the energy and tax saving benefits of solar electric hybrid vehicles. Mike Mehrman, principal of Long Drive Solar, will focus on fleet sales with the intent of converting low speed gas vehicles to solar electric hybrids. Recent tax legislation will continue to accelerate this transition as the U.S. converts from the pump to the plug by offering attractive incentives with the Plug-In Vehicle Tax Credit (26 USC 30D) and the Solar Equipment Tax Credit (26 USC 48).
"We are extremely excited about our relationship with Cruise Car," says Mehrman. "Together, we will provide answers to eliminating CO2 emissions while providing modern day transportation on a large scale." Long Drive Solar plans to offer the products and expertise of Eco-Trans Alliance, as well as Cruise Car's solar electric low speed fleet vehicles, to major facilities such as resorts, municipalities, government agencies, universities, corporate parks, and others looking to convert high emissions vehicles with solar alternatives and reap the benefits of recent tax credits. According to Ken Chester, President of Cruise Car, "Because of their commitment to providing green vehicles and their expertise in tax credit legislation, Long Drive Solar is the ideal partner in helping our customers convert their fleet to solar electric transportation."
