In its first year, Dorm Suite Dorm offered six premium collections of college bedding and accessories, created by founder and design director Sheri Corey. Corey, who served DSD customers around the country in that first year of operation, found that her most popular items were those that allowed for personalization, such as the selection of accent colors or monogramming.

With this knowledge, she modified her business model and product mix to better serve her customers, offering fabrics doused in saturated color combinations like chocolate brown and preppy pink, citrus orange and sparkling turquoise, springy kiwi and crisp white. Patterns feature oversized and petite houndstooth, modern toile and updated damask.

Signature details continue to be a part of the Dorm Suite Dorm brand. Dorm Suite Dorm pieces include such custom flourishes as hand-covered buttons dotting duvets, contrasting layers peeking from bed skirt pleats, and piping, fringe and trims finishing coverlets and pillows.

With college acceptance letters arriving daily, Corey and her Dorm Suite Dorm team are ready for the incoming class of college coeds.

Girls can register their wish list and preferences on the company website's Dream Registry. This allows family and friends to purchase DSD gift certificates to give as graduation, birthday and going away gifts.

Customers can also earn DSD Dollars towards merchandise by hosting a trunk show for friends or signing up as a Suitemate, a word-of-mouth, grass roots marketing effort. Information on both programs is also found on the website.
