Chistell Publishing (chistell.com) releases the first installment in its children's book series - Rosetta's Great Hope. The book introduces young readers, their parents, school teachers and other adults who value contributions made to society by youth, to Rosetta Blay for the first time. Rosetta Blay is a spunky, 10-year old girl who can come up with more mischievous ideas than five kids put together. She is also a child whose courage blesses her with a lioness' heart.

Rosetta's Great Hope is written in third person. The story allows readers to feel close to each of the book's characters, including Rosetta's best friend, Paulette, her parents and her older brother and sister. When asked if Rosetta's Great Hope would be offered in print format, the book's author, Denise Turney states, "Current plans are to offer the book in electronic format. Readers can download the book directly from their computer and start enjoying and learning through the scenes depicted in the story within a matter of moments. There's no need to wait three to four days to receive Rosetta's Great Hope in the mail this way."

Turney went on to share that her hope for the book was that it, "encourages young readers to develop a passion for literature. Millions of young readers will see themselves in things that Rosetta says and does. She's definitely a comrade to children who are ambitious about going after their dreams. Rosetta's funny. She's bold and she's a bit of work because she is one mischievous little, pig-tailed girl."

In this installment, Rosetta comes up with an idea for her fifth grade class' school program. She sparks with the idea as a means to deflect her teacher's attention from the fact that she isn't prepared for the day's assignment. She also wants to even the score with her arch nemesis, a straight A student who cannot get enough of reminding Rosetta about her lack of academic prowess. It is what comes of the idea that causes the story to evolve into a match of wits, gumption and outright humor.

Denise Turney is the author of the books Portia, Love Has Many Faces, Spiral, Long Walk Up, Rosetta's Great Hope and Love Pour Over Me (due out 2010). Turney is also the founder of The Book Lover's Haven, the international literary periodical that spotlights new, established and seasoned writers, editors, literary agents and other movers and shakers in the literary industry.
