Woman Orphaned at Six Years Old Becomes a Successful Author and International Child Advocate
Saturday, May 15, 2010 starting at 11:00 a.m. (EST) on "Off The Shelf Radio" (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Denise-Turney-) Denise Turney sits down with Elizabeth Wiebe, author of the book Through The Eyes of an Orphan. Turney and Wiebe will talk about the real life challenges and life changing psychological shifts that occur after a child loses both of her parents. Listeners who tune into the one-hour feature interview will learn the importance of caring for orphaned children, including those in foster care systems. Government interaction that helps to reduce the numbers of children caught up in foster care systems will also be discussed during the feature interview. "Elizabeth Wiebe is a remarkable woman who survived one of life's toughest challenges," Turney states. "Elizabeth Wiebe is a living testament to what faith in God can accomplish. By the time she was six years old, both of her parents had transitioned, leaving her an orphan. Despite this early hardship, Elizabeth Wiebe became a strong, courageous woman who knows how to set her target and her focus and courageously takes the steps to reach her life goals. This inner guidance and vision is what allowed Elizabeth Wiebe to sit down and pen the powerfully moving book, Through The Eyes of an Oprhan and to start the Society for Orphaned Children in Canada," Turney reveals. "I encourage "Off The Shelf" listeners to take note of insights and advice that Elizabeth Wiebe shares during the one hour feature interview," Turney advises. "What they will learn during the interview could arm them with the knowledge to help a relative, neighbor or child in the community who has been orphaned. As we discuss the book writing and marketing arena as well, listeners might also hear the key to a puzzle they have been trying to unlock in their creative, personal and business lives." Denise Turney is the author of the books Portia, Love Has Many Faces, Spiral, Long Walk Up and Love Pour Over Me (due out 2010). Turney is also the founder of The Book Lover's Haven, the international literary periodical that spotlights new, established and seasoned writers, editors, literary agents and other movers and shakers in the literary industry. Denise Turney founded The Book Lover's Haven Network (http://booklovershaven.ning.com) to allow writers and book lovers to connect directly with each other, learn about job openings and post information about their books and upcoming events.
