The bad news, says Human Wisdom, is that although the efforts made by governments worldwide to recover from the current recession are admirable, they alone cannot solve the problem. That is because recessions, as well as all other dreadful sufferings in our world such as famine, poverty, diseases, environmental abuse, violence and war, are actually not our core problem but only its effects. And we will never eradicate any of these effects until we find and eliminate their fundamental cause; trying to find solutions to these effects alone will only temporarily ameliorate and actually prolong an ages-old agony.
The good news, says Human Wisdom, is that finding and solving the fundamental problem of our society is within our reach, provided that we are willing to make a concerted effort. Centuries ago we involuntarily started to build up the main problem of humanity and now we can turn mankind's achievements in our favor. Various initiatives of the last decades as well as the unprecedented manifestation of hope inspired by Mr. Obama's election demonstrate unequivocally that the world is ready for a truly historic change that reaches far beyond anything envisioned so far. Human Wisdom is calling upon world leaders and nations to launch a sustainable development project worldwide called Terra City as a concrete step in building a better world.
