Agility, a logistics company of Kuwait which is a huge supplier of food and other merchandise to the U.S. troops in Iraq is still continuing to negotiate with the U.S. authorities in Atlanta to resolve the pending issues.

The company was accused by the grand jury in Atlanta of overcharging an amount of $ 60 million for a period of 41 months from the U.S. Army. This, the jury observed, was accomplished under the garb of its supply contacts in Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan.  The company has been indicted on the charges of committing major fraud, conspiracy to defraud and making false or fictitious claims and statements. However, Agility claimed that despite the charges, it had only been suspended and not debarred by the U.S. government.

Company Lawyer, Richard Deane stated after the hearing that with the firm being in active negotiations, there is every hope that the issue can be expeditiously resolved. He admitted however, that the day's discussions were inconclusive. Nevertheless, he did not entertain the question of a Reuter's reporter which required him to divulge the details of the ongoing negotiations.

As per the officials of the Justice department, it was only after Kamal Mustafa Al-Sultan, the whistle-blower in this case, filed a suit that the indictment was carried out.
