David Olsen, a professional engineer, has created this unique new diet-that's-not-a-diet. With Kelly Strigenz, a registered dietitian, Olsen wrote the workbook to guide dieters on a step-by-step path to losing weight in a manner that will keep them from gaining it back.

new diet

This is a true lifestyle approach, invented by Olsen after two bouts with his own yo-yo dieting. He analyzed why his efforts failed. The answer: when we lose weight too quickly, the brain and body can't adjust. Pounds return with a vengeance. The solution: no more focusing only on food intake. The result: weight loss that lasts.

Olsen says the premise of his You Forever Slim diet is simple: "To lose weight permanently, we must make small simple changes in how we eat, how we think and what we eat. We must practice these small changes until they become part of our lifestyle." Dietitian Strigenz agrees, and provides easy food recommendations throughout the book.

Following his own advice Olsen got back to what he weighed in his 20s. And no yo-yo syndrome; he's kept the pounds off for more than 10 years.

You Forever Slim is a 128-page workbook to be used day-to-day for one year. For more information and to read excerpts from the book: www.YouForeverSlim.com.
