A shocking tale of a Mother compelling her son to kill his pet hamster all because he had bad grades on his report card in school was unfolded in Atlanta, Georgia in Meriwether county. As reported in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the boy whose name has been with held, and is 12 yrs of age, received bad grades in his report card on Thursday, last week. His mother Lynn Middlebrooks Geter was so infuriated by his academic performance that she allegedly forced the young boy to kill his pet hamster with a hammer. This cruel and heartless act took place in Warm Springs, which is 90 miles southwest from Atlanta where the family is reported to live. The shocked son confessed this horrific incident to his teacher the very next day and the teacher reported this to Division of Child and Family Services in that area who promptly called the police, local County sheriff Steve Whitlock reports to the AJC. The Atlanta police took quick action and arrested the mother of the child last Friday after investigation from her home. The lady in question who is 38 yrs of age is also reported to violate her parole and is still in Jail and facing one charge each of battery, animal cruelty and child cruelty. When contacted on the night of his wife's arrest Lynn's husband Brad Geter refused any comments on the issue. |
